got my MT tires mounted dry and did not race for two weeks and with a non pepared track I have spun the tires 6 inches on the rims. I am going to dismount and bead blast the bead on the rim. That's how the Z28 rims were fixed.

Ford did something with the rims for the 13/14 GT500 to stop this issue...i assumed Dodge did the same thing.....did they not?

Not just too much tire mounting slime on there? That's usually all it is.

Ive heard of spraying the bead with carb cleaner to soften and gummy up the bead so it kind of glues itself to the rim. but not so bad it cant be broken down later

Interesting idea. Guess you'd have to work fast while mounting the tires so it doesn't evaporate before you're done!

they quit spinning now . got a 1.66 60ft with them. Bead blasting is what does work good, but I think they stopped spinning after time on the wheel.
