Any of you keeping your shipping guards on the car? I'm kind of digging the look of them, I may paint them black or sublime to match car, but the yellow kinda cool too!

I'm keeping mine, front rubs hard every time I use my driveway in or out. My paint supply bill $100 for tri color pearl white to color match. So while I'm at it I'll shoot the hood side vents to offset the satin hood cure the ugly front and rear props and match the tower braces. Figured I'd pick up some cheep vent shades and paint them while I was at it; not sure they will stay though its all in look of the body lines over the cost of new door panel switches but they peel off easy enough. Heck vent shade doesn't even list a wind test speed probably will self remove at around 150 if they last that far  oh the price of testing!

I took them off and installed ZL1addons splitter guards. They have already rubbed leaving the driveway a couple of times and no damage.

I left them on also. Looks great contrasting the B5 , good protection, and have had several positive comments about them. Some thought it was factory !

Had them painted flat/matte black, then clear-coated to give a bit of gloss. My Cat's Pitch Black c.c., so they more or less blend in.

The will leave marks over the long run then you will have to keep them on.

Sorry, no clue why everyone wants yellow shipping plastic guards left on their cats. Looks retarded. I do like the blackened out one that Steppenwolf did and if you want protection then get something like the ZL1 underneath pads.... but bright yellow guards that say "remove".

    Thanks.

They were actually supposed to be a temporary stop-gap measure back when I was all set to get the APR splitter guard & bolts. I was going to have the APR unit installed after the break-in period. So I had the factory guards painted black because the yellow looked awful, as a lot of folks here have said.

But that was all before learning that the APR splitter unit, unless modified, blocks easy access to oil changes. So now I'm trying to see whether my local auto place can modify it.

Until I know for sure, the now-black factory guards stay on.

My dealer pitched my guards & I have been trying to snag a set to see if I can successfully sand off the imprinted words & paint them like Steppenwolf's. Kills me there are dealers tossing them daily, but I can't convince anyone to put them aside & send them to me
