"We have a great program arranged where drivers will have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a variety of different SRT vehicles. Drivers will experience the SRT 392 Hemi Challenger (Auto) at the Accident Avoidance Exercise, the 392 Hemi Charger Scat Pack on the Skid Pad, the SRT Hellcat Challenger (Manual) and Charger (Auto) at the Auto-Cross, the SRT Viper GT and Challenger 392 (Auto) on the Lead-and-Follow, and the SRT Hellcat (Instructor driven) on Hot Laps."

    Why You Should Go
Pictures and video are worth a thousand words and it goes without saying; Bondurant offers a very professional driving experience. The skid pad and Viper lead-follow are some of the key highlights to this experience. Making the journey to Arizona is well worth your time if you want to gain exposure to the capabilities of the Hellcat and other SRT vehicles along with very useful tips for racing and even daily driving. More so, if you thought you were pushing the limits of your SRT Hellcat, just wait until you have an eye-opening experience in the Hot Laps with the instructors.

I've attended three SRT Track experiences in the past and will say, by far, this was better: variety of performance vehicles, better instruction (don't get me wrong, John Hammer and crew were awesome at the SRT Track Experiences of the past), and better flexibility to test the capabilities of the vehicles. Overall, the exposure you get from the wide array of SRT performance vehicles, both manual and auto transmissions, is outstanding.

In previous SRT experiences, the Viper was only used for hot laps and only a selected few got to ride in it. At Bondurant, you get to drive them and test them out on the track.

In the skid pad, it gives you a good feel of car control under loss of front/rear traction conditions. It is also a great opportunity to get some re-end drifting and burnouts going - it's a lot of fun.

Without going too far in, I'll let the video and pictures do most of the talking along with future posts/discussion. Personally, I was able to check off a few things: tracking/driving a Viper (a childhood dream), meeting fellow performance enthusiasts, really seeing what a Hellcat can do on the track. On top of everything, the Bondurant School handed out a $700 voucher to apply toward a future multi-day course.

Was this all on the single free day or did you go with the multi day?

This is all part of the single day that is included with the purchase of any SRT vehicle.

My question is, do we physically get behind the wheel of a Viper? This is 100% confirmed?

Yes, you do the lead/follow in the Viper GT 2.0. For drivers that are not comfortable driving a manual, they'll give you a 392 Challenger Auto to drive.

Those are all participants driving the Vipers in the video above. The instructors were in Charger/Challenger 392s

Airfare will depend on where you are located, however, flights are usually the cheapest about 1 1/2 months out from the flight date.

There is a casino just down the road that people can stay at.

Looks like about $400 round trip. If you stay at the casino, prices are as low as $100 a night. Add in a $70-130 for a few day, Toyota Corolla rental. So in total, about $600-700 or less depending on flights and hotel.

As an alternative, you can use your SRT voucher as a $1000 discount towards a multi day class. If not, they gave us a $699 voucher to use for next time on a multi day course after our free 1-day.

I priced out the 3 day Viper SCCA certification course for next time and it comes out to about a $4500 trip (course, hotel, rental) for me with the $699 discount. Granted, I need to brush up on my manual transmission driving because I was really rusty out there with the Viper.

Do you guys think the 1 free day is worth traveling halfway across the country? I just signed up for it but I am concerned. The guy I talked to at Bondurant was high pressuring me to spend the extra $1000/day for the 3 day course, implying I would get little value from the 1 day free course. I was quite disappointed, he was real negative about it. If it's that bad why go?
