I just ordered the stage 3 ID motorsports/bwoody kit. I went with the 2.65 pulley. Curious if there is anyone with this combo and what numbers they put down on 93 octane.

Im also going to ask about an e85 tune as well.

    Thoughts?

I would not run the 2.65 with 93 octane I was getting over 17lbs of boost with that pulley to high for pump gas IMO ;) If your going to run the 2.65 go with e85.

Yup just the upper + 5-6lbs stock is 11psi
Call HHP the recommend the 2.85 for pump gas.

HHP says 2.85 is highest recommended for 93 octane.

Ya if you look at most builds on here they are at sea level. Which would be awesome. But every car is different.

Mine is 2.50 with 94 mix, but I'm at 5000 feet. Everyone I talked to had a different idea. Most said e85 was a bad idea and I understand that cause we run a race car on that and it's a pain. It would be even worse as a daily driver cause every station is different.

I know of several cars making over 800 at sea level with stock injectors on a 2.7 pulley but 90% will tell you that you have to have injectors.

You have to take what you have read and heard and make you own decisions, or play fallow the leader.

There are a lot of things they won't tell you about the car. At the end of the day it's all a business and they are here to make money, and be the best.

Is the car a daily driver or a weekend warrior. Can you afford the car to sit. How fair do you want to push it.

    Just my two cents.

From what Alex Peitz, Serious HP and Fastlane down here in Houston are telling me they have a ton of cars running 2.65 and smaller pulleys. Many with the ATI OD pulley as well. One was E85 the other 93. So why does everyone keep saying anything less than 2.75 is unsafe?

"That car has a 2.65 upper and a 10 percent lower with E85 and a custom fuel system. We kept it conservative on the non-nitrous tune."
"We usually do the upper and lower pulley at the same time. 10% overdrive lower and 2.65 upper will give you right below 18psi of boost."

Yes I agree. There are many cars out there running small pulleys. I think the form is getting to that point where info is getting confusing.
