I am a newbie to the forum. I always thought i would only go with a 6 speed. Still leaning that way but understand the 8 speed auto is mighty fine! Your opinions would be appreciated.

I love mine... My previous SRT was a stick. I don't regret getting the A8... it just bangs the gears so hard and fast... great transmission! ;)

If you plan to take it to the drag strip, automatic is the best option.

appreciate the input, i know the auto is quicker, but just have it stuck in my head that when i could get a phenomenal muscle car it would be a stick!! don't want to make a mistake

Looking at the Go Mango orange color, anyone seen one in person?

No, I have not seen it in person... would like to. (I haven't even seen an actual picture) As for your decision on the stick or auto... get what you want all is good. But like SRT HC said if you want to drag the car it will be a lot easier and more consistent with the A8.

Buy what's on the showroom floor. They are both great trannies. You may find a few more M6 laying around depending on your geography.

I had an 09 Challenger R/T with the 6-speed when they were first released. It was a lot of fun, but by three years of running the gears I grew tired of the clutch pushing. So, in my old age and was firmly committed to the A8.

well that is where I am at, i know the A8 is awesome. My HC is going to an occasional nice day cruiser. I could see where the auto would be nice, just hung up on the stick!

BTW i have a nice pic of the Go Mango orange but not sure how to post, I copied the attachment but would not paste on this thread! if someone knows a way to do so please let me know
    Appreciated

Is it an actual picture of a real Go Mango hellcat you took... or something from the internet or a photo shop rendering?
