My car has about 1500 miles on it and it started doing something odd a few weeks ago.

On start up it idles up normally then stumbles almost like it wants to stop. Then it runs normal.

Today after I washed it I had the door open and noticed a little smoke on start up. Again the runs fine. The only thing I have done to it was put in the green air filter. Wondering if that might be the cause of it

My car on start up shock for 2 or 3 seconds and then it was fine. It started doing that last Friday and after driving it for 5 min. the check engine light went on with code p0300.
My hellcat challenger has 1400 miles.

only one time I saw any smoke... I started it and pulled it right out of garage and shut it down still cold... when I started it a while later I saw a little smoke.. I wrote it off as the rich hi idle never fired off the cats and when I went to restart there was a bit of residuals to burn off.. maybe the rich fuel washed the cylinders a bit so it smoked a second when refired?

Odd I have the same symptoms you describe immediately after fuel rail was replaced, minus smoke, at 1380 miles. Except last 2 cold starts the car did die, after it fired up, and stumbled. Taking in this weekend to diagnose problem. No DTC set I can find using torque software. Oem air filter. Always pure gas. Built November 2014. Search fuel rail and my tag name you'll see my history on this. Will let you know what I find. (Prior to fuel rail swap it never did this once always started ran perfect. Happened immediately after rail replaced 1st cold start. Never does it when engine's warm.)

Green air filter? Is that like a K&N or similar filter with better flow over the stock? If so did you let it map air/fuel before driving? Anytime you change something that improves air flow you have to let it map so it doesn't lean out. It's almost like breaking in the car all over again so it knows how much fuel to add at various throttle positions from idle to wide open.

No dealership in Austin would see my car because they had a 15 day waiting list. So I have an appointment on the 15th of June.

Mine did something like that the other day, 780 miles on it. Started up and it sounded real choppy, let it rest in idle and it calmed down. Pulled out and going into second gear it almost died. Drove around for a few minutes and didn't have the problem again. It had sat for about 10 days without being ran so I figured it just needed to be warmed up....but maybe it's more than that.

My car isn't a daily driver. I drive it 2 or 3 times on weekend and put around 30 miles.
