image.jpeg Got a nice scuff on one my HC rims. Looked similar to a curb mark, but I knew I hadn't curbed anything. I was worried that State Farm would say I did it and consider it collision rather than comprehensive. Went in to a SF adjuster and he looked at it & said he could tell that it wasn't curbed because he didn't see any tire damage. He cut me a check for $1600 on the spot. It's nice to know that an insurance company will have your back for cosmetic blemishes.

Why did u go to your insurance company instead of the dealer ? Would that have not been covered under warranty.

State Farm is one of the best companies for this. However is your csr was a bit older they could go a diff way. The car has special options that can't be found be found aftermarket or LKQ so your even better off with State Farm. They do used am and LKQ with other policy holders, you actually sign that form saying that you agree to it

But the the part is they took care of it. Awesome.

He was an older guy but I could tell he was a car guy. He did mention LKQ but stated he wouldn't even bother looking because they wouldn't have the rim. He did pull up a $2600 rim while searching for the price of mine. I also found it odd that he said the Brass Monkey replacement wheel was only $990?
