My stereo used to be perfect. At volume 38 (full) I got the nicest sound from songs. The bass kicked hard and rock songs rocked. Just took my cat in for service and they flashed the stereo. What the hell?! Now full volume sounds like the speakers are about to blow! Sounds play super loud and there is distortion at full volume. 25 now sounds like what 38 used to. I guess I could adjust my volume settings but I never like stereos where full volume sounds like speakers are blowing. Anyone else notice this difference?

Mine was terrible before the flash. The rear speakers sounded like they were playing through a kazoo. Great after the flash. Just turn down the volume.

I've never heard of any system designed to cranked at full volume and comfortable to listen to.

I'm not thrilled with how my stereo sounds. What is a flash?

And that can improve the sound? How do I know if I need to have that done?

If you have a 2015 it probably needs done. My HK system sounded like crap. When faded to the rear it sounded weak and distorted - like it was playing through a kazoo. After the flash it was a totally different system.

I have a 2015. So I may have over reacted :) Rock songs now sound great (they used to be very low before). Some tracks sound really too loud but I think that's just how some songs are compressed now. Lots of artists blast the music for iTunes listeners. Stereo sounds amazing. One question I had. What settings do you have your Equalizer set on? I have like Bass +4 Mid -3 Treb +4.

My EQ set about them same...works great on Sirius, but I do need to reduce the bass when listening to my iPod thru the AUX port.

Bass 0, Mid 0, Treble +4. I don't care for over amplified thumbing bass and my hearing for high frequencies need all the help I can get.:(
