It seems like everyone is focused on what the hellcat does at the track, but I want to know what's your best time on the streets, in the real world....
My best was tonite, 1/4 mile- 12.7@112.... No launch control, m6, summer tires
I'm sure I can get it closer to the mid 11's...
Launch control? Trans type? Shifting rpms?

JMO but if you want to race - consider going to a racetrack - keep our streets safe

Street racing and running the 1/4 on the road is two different things. JMO !

JMO but "running the 1/4 on the road" is street racing. I don't think a policeman would care if you were racing yourself or another car if he were to observe that happening ( 112 mph). I would prefer to not encounter cars on the street going 112 mph. But then that's just me perhaps.

I havnt broken into the 11's yet on the road behind my house. A nice abandoned mining road that no one drives on any more that is still in great shape = winning.
Also where i did my burnout.

I guess I should make it clear, please be safe, and find roads that aren't used much, then find the best time with the least people.
Still, the lab(racetrack) and the factory(streets) can give varied results...
Try not to do this in a 25 mph zone....

The downside of driving fast on the street is...you have someone pull out in front of you while you are speeding, you crash, they die, and your life is over.

No amount of adrenaline is worth doing that to their family, or yours.

I know it is hard sometimes, but...

There are places in the country where the driveways are a 1/2mile or more apart....street doesn't just mean downtown or in the suburbs...
But be safe and don't try this at home, unless.....
Btw, Dgatzby, are you running an auto or manual?
