Built 8/25, pending inspection for 3 weeks, now stuck in JS. I have brass monkey wheels on my order that is stuck and I know others do also. Possibly this is the holdup?

Does your stuck in JS Cat have BM wheels?

I've made 10 posts on this subject in the last 3 days. Dump the BM wheels if you want your car before Nov/Dec. I was stuck in BG, dropped the BM option, had a VIN the next morning. You can get them powder coated for $400 (it will cost me $380 here). GET YOUR CAR!

My 2015 Challenger is sitting in Taylor,MI with Brass Monkey rims since 9/3. Built 9/1. Currently JS.
So it shouldn't be a shortage, it also passed quality inspection from what I understand.

If your car is in JS status, it's been built and Brass Monkey wheels has nothing to do with any delay. If your car is in BG or D status, you might have a delay with the wheels. Just sit back, relax, and don't panic. All is well, all is well.

i thought the brass monkey rims had something to do with it a few days ago, but how would they move them? on some temporary wheels, didn't make sense. doesnt seem like FCA would have extra rims, seems like an unnecessary item to have to pay for then store after the fact.

All is not well with 3 weeks in pending inspection, now in JS with an estimated ship date of another 3 weeks. I also had an estimated ship date of 8/22 and "all was well".

You can't change anything after the car is D1 with a VIN which is what this thread is about, not orders not yet scheduled (or built).

yeah, i mean the important part of this thread is that the cars are built. the build sheet shows everything as ordered and the cars passed inspection successfully.

i guess we can also ask the question the other way around:

did anybodies car, built during the last 3 weeks with BM rims, ship to the dealer? if yes, which state.

    or

are cars with black rims sitting in JS since weeks in the taylor yard?

    Hi Radcat,
Some questions: How did you get the Brass Monkey color to match with your local powder coater? Are the FCA stock BM wheels a powder coated finish? Is there an exact color match number# ?
This seems like a reasonable plan I may pursue. I have access to a great powder coating company that I've used often. Getting an exact color match# may definitely push me over the edge to drop the BM option. Only thing is my window sticker won't be copacetic . I guess this would only be a big concern to the car collector afficionato. . Sorry if you already supplied this info. It's that I haven't come across it yet. The matching color # I mean. Thanks Radcat for any answers you can add to this thread so I can easily find it.
