What the hell is the thumbwheel next to the instrument panel dimmer switch/Dome light used for?

The thumbwheel on the right with the sunshine God of Ra looking hieroglyphic doesnt tell me squat and the owners manual didnt say.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it might be height adjustment for the headlights

Could it be the adjustment for changing when the headlights automatically come on?

damn I played with that sob looking at the domelight thinking IT DOESNT WORK!

I wasnt even sure that my rain sensing windshield wipers worked bc they didnt do squat when I got caught in the rain the other day. Apparently the wiper switch needs to be on one of the intermittant settings.

    RTFM!

lots of tech in these cars, 25 years ago who would have thought we would have rains sensing wipers and all those controls. of course we thought we would have flying cars by now.

LMFAO with this post - I was the same way then I read TFM and still had to find out on this board how to set the shift light. First day it rained with the HC and the RSW's worked perfectly. How did you find out about the automatic high beams. When that started I was like WFT, now I just need to figure out how to turn that (other than pulling back on high beam lever) off so I can use traditionally - it has to be in the settings somewhere.
There should have been (in my case) a 50 yr old + option that made some things work for early onset Alzheimer guys such as myself:D

Thanks gentlemen I have looked at that switch dialed the dang thing. No results! Going out now ( since it is night) and try the darn thing see if it works!
I did look it up on the cd & manual that came with the car and it didn't mention that dial!

Just as crazy. I wanted my yellow DRL on because I think me eating you up in your rear view mirror and closing fast is cool.
Well, through the u connect I turn them on and they work,
Then, they don't. I'm like WTF?
They turn themselves off with the parking brake on. Release the brake and they are back on.
Took me a half hour scratching my head to figure that out.
I looked in the manual, and never found that piece of info.

OK, so what is the verdict? I have spun the wheel in the day and at night looking at all of the lights in the car and I can't see that it does anything at all.
