Here is the window sticker for quick access. This would be it if it had the A8. Don't really need a block heater where I live.

Just an fyi. I called and they said the car had a bad engine and is being replaced soon. They found out while driving it. Wonder how hard they were driving it.

This is why the engine is "bad" How many employees of dealerships do think are like these guys?

Somebody here will correct me if I"m wrong but there is no such thing as matching numbers on these cars. I don't think there is anyway to really tell the motor has been swapped by "numbers".

I understand that this bothers some people (not having the original motor) but if it was a good engine swap you would never know.

I know guys that can do a motor swap on modern day cars (very complex stuff like the German cars) and you would never know they were in there. Not a nick or scratch anywhere, the wiring harness are all laid back perfectly etc. etc.

I totally the swap might bother you but if done right it's not big deal.

With anything mechanical there is a certain percentage of breakage. We've read about a couple of problems already (broken rocker and I think one person mentioned they had a head gasket issue). One broken motor out of 2300 Hellcats produced is realistic. Could be a bad part, tolerance stacking issue leading to failure or maybe somebody building the engine had a bad day (not sure how automated the plant is but it is probably highly automated). I also doubt the failure (if legit) had anything to do with somebody at the dealership beating on the car. While not ideal you should be able to drive it like you stole right off the line (yes breakin is necessary but not many people do that right either)
