Hello all, just want everone's opinion. Over a year ago, I wanted very much a 2015 A8 sublime Challenger Hellcat with the satin black hood. With the VIN nowhere near in site, from several dealers, I had a chance to get a 2015 M6 sublime Challenger Hellcat that the buyer had backed out of. I bought it and had the hood wrapped thinking if and when my A8 gets built, I will sell my M6. The 2015 Challenger Hellcat that I ordered finally started to get built but with an M6, even after I insisted to the dealer not to change the transmission (that's the time that Dodge started running out of the A8's). So I sold my first Hellcat to a friend and bought the one that I had ordered with the satin black hood.
Putnam Dodge in Burlingame Ca. had, according to SRT, 1st given my order away to someone else after repeatedly checking back with them on a monthly basis on the status of my order and then canceling my order all together. Snakes! Due to the fact, SRT was nice enough to send me a discount voucher for a 2016 Hellcat
I am supposedly on a list for a 2016 Hellcat for a rare, northern California, MSRP price. My 1st choice of color would have been Sublime. That not being available, my thoughts were Plum Crazy or Gomango. I have always liked the high impact colors. I recently read on this site that the Plum Crazy is no longer avail for ordering. That came as a surprise.
My M6 Hellcat is fun to drive. When I test drove 2 hemi challengers (375hp) last year, one with an A8 and the other with a M6, the A8 felt faster, especially taking off. I was told and have read that the gearing is different between the two.
So now I may have a choice of keeping my 2nd Sublime 2015 Hellcat or selling it and getting the 2016 Gomango A8 Hellcat. Attached are: My 1st hellcat (sublime hood) , my 2nd one with the plastic on the rear right after it came off of the transport truck, my 2nd hellcat front view and finally both of them. Thoughts? Thanks.

I'd hold on to that 2016 Sublime Challenger since it's the only one I've ever heard of! Sure to be a collector's item! :)

Seriously, Go Mango is going to be a limited production just like Plum Crazy. Not heard that you can't still order the purple cars...I thought the ordering banks were going to stay open for that color till the end of January. Maybe someone else can chime in....

As far as A8 vs. M6 - it's been discussed, argued about, dissected etc...numerous times. It's just bait for another long useless post. Up to you what you want on both counts.

-I would get the '16 Go Mango A8....other opinions WILL vary! ;-)

My opinion is I would keep the 2016 green one and get an Orange one. Both will be collectors items one day and I think that you will be happy with them both.

Keep the sublime since FCA never made it in 2016. Is the vin on the sublime have FH in it or GH? If it is GH is is incredibly rare and would be the only one in existence

I wish ! Sublime is not available for 2016 :( yeah, that would be One collectable :)
In a perfect world, I would want Sublime with the A8, but since I cant have that, unless I pay a dealer markup for a 2015, which I wont do, I have to decide to give up the sublime for the gomango if the list I am for a 2016 turn out to be valid. I am hoping to see a Gomango hellcat at a dealer to help me decide, but that may be a while yet. Thanks, your opinion is appreciated !

My apologies to all, I had a typo ! !
"I had a chance to get a 2016 M6 sublime Challenger Hellcat that the buyer had backed out of "
    should have read:
" I had a chance to get a 2015 M6 sublime Challenger Hellcat that the buyer had backed out of "

Color is based on your opinion.

Transmission to me boils down to this:
    1. Do you race often?
    2. Do you have a long commute that requires continuous upshifts/downshifts?
    3. Do you want to really be connected to the car?

If you answered No to either (1) and (2) then the answer to (3) is evident :)

I wish I could get my wife to let me afford 2 hellcats. A charger as a DD and my Challenger as my weekend show car.

Both are 2015 Hellcats. Since you have a voucher, I'd buy a 2016 A8 and pick another color. It's a win, win for you because you'll get all your money back for the 2015 and get a 2016 for the same price; provided the options are the same.
