    Hello!

Looks like I found a HC at a dealer nearby with an allocation. They placed an order just recently for one, and are willing to give it to me at sticker. They placed the order just recently and said they'd be able to make certain changes if needed.

I test drove a regular challenger R/T and really would prefer a sunroof, as the cabin is rather dark. I would therefore hate to have my HC without a sunroof option, as it is a rather expensive purchase and I would hate to compromise. I saw some rumors it becoming available 6/15 and 6/29, are any of those things true? Please advise. Thanks!

Congrats on the order and at sticker. Latest info is that SR's are scheduled to start on 6/29. That is the latest word from RS. Don't know if it will change again or if there are any backlogs for installation.

If you're tall go sit in a charger with one to see if you still like it

I have several dilemmas surrounding this...

I would like to have a red one with the tan interior. If the sunroof becomes an option only on 6/29, I am wondering whether it'd be too late - as in, the car would go in production and then I'm screwed.

I test drove R/T with a sunroof and without and I found that the Challenger cabin is rather dark and becomes much more cozy with the sunroof.

Had one in the '12 could not get it in the 15 and don't miss it a bit. I would avoid the option unless you know 100% for sure they will build it asap, unless you want to be in VON HELL for months and months.

If you currently have cars with SR's and use them often then I understand. The blk interior can be dark. We have had SR's in many vehicles and seldom....if ever...use them....and kind of forget about them even being there.

my 2011 had one...loved it...perfect amount of wind and noise.....have one right now in my new GMC truck and its so damn loud its unusable

i wanted one in my HC too.......no one has explained why the HC is taking 9 months to develop a sun roof..

is it structural or is it 198mph thats causing the issue.....has anyone heard WHY?

I doubt I would use it much open. I'm not a smoker, and prefer no noise, but I do like the light. If glass roof was an option, I'd be all over it.

i enjoy having a sun roof specifically during rain when i can use the vent option where it just tilts.

All the burnouts Dodge did in advertising this vehicle and they couldn't figure out drive shafts where the week leak. I gotta thing a couple of preproduction Hellcats with roofs cracked in half . Had to be something pretty obvious for these guys to notice! LOL

RS replied to me in another thread that it is an engineering issue, but he had no further details...

Had the sunroof in my '08 Challenger and probably opened it 3 times in 7 years. I didn't want the one in my HC Charger but it was there in the car when I bought it. So far I have not opened it. The sunroof is glass so you can just open the shade if all you want is light.
