I found this damper on eBay and was wondering if any of my fellow Hellcat owners have any insight on this before I install it. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I was told by a few people that there is no room for a bigger pulley because of the four bolt ac pump...and the casting is to big for a smaller pulley on top....please let us know if you have any l luck with this product

Well it oem size yet it says don't use a/c belt if racing ???
Not sure what the advantage is except dampening vibration ?

    Specifics: Dodge Hellcat 6.2L 2015+

    • Aluminum Shell
    • 8.19" OD, OEM size
    • 10 & 6 Ribs
Notes: Damper includes new aluminum water pump pulley for clearance. A/C belt is a 25% overdrive- DO NOT USE BELT IF RACING! 3% underdrive on powersteering. OEM size on water pump.

So,, they're not offering it at a pulley to make more boost! That's the only real reason to purchase one is to get the supercharger to spin faster and make more boost.....at least those are most people thoughts...including mine. But sense were in this topic, maybe there is another pulley that can be changed to make more boost,, or close up the hole where the.bypass controller is,, is the opening is smaller, less air will move through it,, meaning holding boost longer.. please let me know if I have to clue as to what I'm talking about.Lol.. but when certain people talk,,I listen..

Weird underdrive setup. You can't run the a/c belt when racing...I assume prolonged high RPM? Hello, isn't that the point of this car?

Also, why would you need better crankshaft dampening? Seems like an "upgrade" to skip to me.

So no performance improvement claims? Overdrive the a/c by 25% and underdrive the p/s by 3%? Sounds like it will make less power than stock. What am I missing here?

Why would you need to upgrade to a "Street" dampener in the first place? If you are going to switch it out, it would be for racing/performance.

This looks like a money grab to sell a product which has no real use/market reason.

I had an ATI damper on my Cummins. They should really be balanced with the crank though. I wouldn't put one on my cat personally.

Is the 6.2L internally or externaly balanced? (I haven't looked at our balancer) If internally, then the ATI will need to be neutrally balanced.

From a performance perspective, removing the A/C belt reduces parasitic drag on the engine, of which some is present even if the A/C is off. You don't use A/C when racing (please say no). And underdriving the PS by 3% reduces the drag load there as well. So a marginal power savings and no other benefit I can ascertain, except a lighter wallet. ATi makes quality products and I use an Ati SuperDamper on my 528 Hemi. But no way I'd buy this one unless all I planned to do is race my HellCat.

Its not as easy as just adding more boost. More air needs for fuel too. Doing a tune with the pulley change correctly will give more power. Start doing one without the other haphazardly will cause issues I'm sure. I will be passing on this upgrade.
