I tried posting in the WIKI but keep getting a server error.
I did some searching on here about replacing the factory bulb, and access to removing it. People talking about removing the fascia, the air intake, etc.

Replaced mine last night in 15 minutes.
Full lock the steering to 1 side. Remove 2 push pins from fender well liner. Pry back the plastic fender liner, access to the moisture cap is right behind the projector, a few inches back, completely accessible through wheel well. Turn counter clock-wise. Remove cap. Unhook connector to bulb. There is a locking collar on the bulb. Turn counter clock-wise about 1/8th of a turn. Carefully slide bulb out through the maze of stuff. Pull the locking collar off the stock bulb and put on to your replacement bulb. Reverse process, done.
Full lock wheel to other side, repeat for other side of car.
    Under 10 minutes per side.
Sorry, I didnt take any pics, but Can go back and take some if needed.

Hope it helpful to anyone looking how to do it, if not, just using my share of server data..lol

6K D3S bulbs from Diode Dynamics. Im sure the super expensive ones are more reliable. But to just slightly change the color from almost-white stock to definitely-white 6K, Im not spending several hundred dollars. Id rather change them 3 times over with cheaper ones. Ive never had a set fail though, so Im not worried about it.

For those wanting a good aftermarket bulb, I HIGHLY recommend Morimoto's XB D3S bulbs. They are practically as good as OEM for 1/3 the cost. Check out the HIDPlanet forums as well as TheRetrofitSource. Never tried the DiodeDynamics bulbs, but they don't make them - they just buy from some other supplier and re-sell. I HIGHLY doubt they are as good as Morimoto who uses Philips quartz capsules and mounting brackets.

I prefer not to discuss our competition, but I do want to correct you there- Morimoto is an in-house brand only, not an actual company, and they do not manufacture anything themselves. They work with contract manufacturers overseas for all of their product lines. We do the same for our HID bulbs, but we selected a contract manufacturer that has significantly better quality standards- we know all of them, and have visited the factories directly to verify their capabilities and manufacturing processes.

    Thank you,

And for what its worth, purchased 2 sets of diode dynamics. My first time dealing with them or purchasing from them. Even if they are lesser quality (only time will tell), they have a 3 year warranty and are $80. Id rather spend 80$ every 3 years than twice that per bulb, and have it last 4-5 years.
