I went against my instincts and ordered the A8 instead of the M6 and I couldn't be happier. Im still getting use to the paddle shifters but overall it's amazing! Any other former Manual Drivers that made the switch and love it?

With 707HP, I prefer to keep both hands on the wheel at all times ;)

Man...I wish I got the A8. Instead I got the M6 which is a pain in the A$$ and is so slow. Luckily my HC has a big trunk. I just pop the A8 in the back and when I am at the track I pull the old switcheroo. Best of both worlds. I recommend it highly.

I actually did the opposite.. Went from the A5 in my '12 SRT to the M6 in the Hellcat. The auto just didnt have "it" .... I test drove a 392 Scat Pack with the A8 before buying the Hellcat to get a feel for the trans, and I ended up nodding off from boredom...

Hey StellasHC....ordered the DSS driveshaft and MT's today. Looking forward to their arrival. Any news on the Barton shifter working with the new drive shaft. Guess you have to wait until yours is installed.

    SRT Hellcat's + A8 = Perfect marriage

The A8 is a beast and smashes through the gears at lightning speed. AWESOME tranny A++++++++++

If you want the full Hellcat experience the A8 cannot be beat. (my opinion)

The Barton needs to have some material removed with the DSS driveshaft. Thats what I was told. I will probably stick with the stock shifter. I like the "insulated" feel vs the Barton. Im also still waiting on my driveshaft, but the drag radials have been on since 200 miles.... Unbelievably fun!

I am sure the A8 is great. I wish I could afford both. Lots of my friends have kids and they tell me that if I want the full experience of my marriage that I should have kids. I'll pass. My wife agrees.

So, you have driven a M6 Hellcat? How about 1 on drag radials? Cant have an "opinion"unless you have driven both...

My 12' SRT8 was a M6 car and I absolutely loved it. But in the back of my mind i'd wonder how much fun would it be in an Auto. When the 8 speed dropped I was sold...now anytime I miss the M6 I just switch to the paddle shifters.

Sure, make all the people that switched there orders to manual just to get a hellcat feel like crap......

As far as A8 being a beast....I agree;)

Pretty similar experience.. My FIRST Challenger was a '09 R/T 6 speed that I Procharged. I always wondered how I would like an auto with paddle shifters,so thats what I bought with my '12 SRT. Those 2 cars, and the experiences I had with them ultimately helped with the M6 Hellcat decision.

Not my intentions at all... I would have done the same thing if faced with that choice. ;)
