6 speed manual or the 8 speed auto... any thoughts? opinions? concerns? what will you choose and why.

The automatic is a faster car, but I'm old school and have ordered the manual tranny. It just seems to me as if this car should be a stick. When I get mine, I will switch it from the ball knob to a pistol grip.

I agree 100%, this feral kitty needs to be a stick. Nothing like driving with the engine connected directly to the rubber instead of a slush drive (fluid) ... in no way am I putting down the awesome sounding 8 auto.. its just not for me. :D

Outstanding, young lady! I understand they have a heavy clutch, but again, that is what a muscle car should have.

I agree. I just don't want to drive my car. I want an experience very time. manual transmission allow you to connect with your car and have that experience in a way that only a manual transmission can offer. great choices

I work out everyday! I am totally ready. Compared to previous cars I have had, I am thinking this baby will shift as smooth as butter.

Cha Cha :) :) She lived near me. I ordered the auto, not without a great deal of internal debate. I wanted the faster car but what difference is .2 of a second. Hope I dont regret it

I don't think it is possible to have any regrets. You are getting a Hellcat, the fastest muscle car from the factory.

Well, when you grow up as an only child and spend all that time in the garage with your dad it becomes second nature. My first car was a 69 Camaro that I pushed as much as I drove it. Like everyone else that had a special car, they regret getting rid of it. I plan on enjoying life for as long as possible. There is an 80ish year old lady that I see at the gym everyday and she drives a 79 Bright yellow Corvette. I am totally going to be just like her driving my collector Hellcat to the gym when I am 80 and everyone is is driving their wimpy electric cars. More gas for me!

I also had some great cars growing up.My favorite was a 71 Barracuda convertible triple black. I loved it when the new retro Challenger came out and was hoping they would develop a Cuda. My cousin is an engineer @ Chrysler and he mentioned 2015 would bring a Barracuda. When I heard of the Hellcat spec's, it made up my mind. I have had 3 Vettes, 2-GTOs, 2-Cudas but I think this is going to be the most fun yet. Too bad they don't have a ragtop Hellcat!!

Sweet! Nice collection. Some day I will be able to collect and not have to trade one in for the other. I was interested in the Barracuda and then rumors were out that it would be on the Dart frame and only come in a 6 cyl. I said, "Why even bother!" If it isn't going to have a HEMI, it's not worth it. Then the Hellcat came out in one of my car mags and it was all over. I have been chomping at the bit waiting for order day, just like every other crazy, need for speed, animal on this site!o_O
