    Yes I do, looks to me like there needs to be a new intake tube composition and explains the heat soak and DTC setting for the MAF when I used the BWoody (or any like it I presume) for eight runs back to back when stock one never set DTC

    I have a reflective thermal barrier film we are going to test to see if it changes anything.

    Don't let high numbers fool you. "Conduct" is also the ability to transfer heat..aka cool off. That's why aluminum and copper are so high. They also dissipate heat the fastest.

    My BWoody cools very quickly during normal around town driving. When leaving a stop light, temperatures drop very quickly. I have no heat issues with the BWoody, and we did about 8 pulls on the dyno in 90 degree heat, pretty close to each other last week. To my knowledge, the Bwoody intake has a thermal barrier that's added before it goes to powder coating. I am sure mike@bwp will chime in here to clarify that.

    And around town mine was fine, but not at the track. Not sure where this is lost as it's been explained and yes once it has a heat barrier I'll try it at the track but not until then.

    We spray a thermal barrier in the tube before powder coating, between the thermal barrier we put on the inside and the powder coating we slow down the conductivity of bare aluminum quite a bit.

    Exactly what people don't understand is that thin gauge aluminum cools off faster than most composites

    Yours has the thermal barrier in it, just sitting still any open air intake is going to heat up regardless of any coating that's applied, that's why we're developing a plug and play harness to read cooler, once our testing is done and it's successful we will then release it to the consumer.
