They either don't know what the Hellcat is or are afraid of it?

I picked up the cat 3 days ago so still in break in process. I was driving and there was a brand new Z06 and 392 charger in front of me at the lights. They went at it and I just followed as slow as I could. I came beside the Vet and winked at him and he just drove beside me never hit the gas but every time the 392 went beside him he reved it up and they went at it. So I figured he had no idea what the hellcat was. The 392 must have had some work because it sounded really good and held his own against the vet. While vet ended up driving away and I was still behind the Charger until we hit a red light and I pulled up beside him. I rolled the window down and the first words that came out of his mouth were " Holy sh%t that thing is crazy, amazing car" and he drove away slowly.

The Z06 didn't even bother with me he probably didn't know what the cat was but the Charger guy new and didn't even try but was going with the Vet 3 or 4 times. I wouldn't have raced because I only have 375kms but it's nice to see the Hellcat get respect. thumbnail_image1 (1).jpg

Respect is right! That is a very intimidating beast you have there with the satin hood. I kept my yellow splitter guards on but painted them with Rust-O-Leum black matte finish bumper paint so they would match the splitter. I have had the car 2 months now and haven't scraped them on anything (knock on wood) but I figured I would rather learn the clearances with the painted yellow guards on the car.

Good that you exercised self control! Break her in right. Congratulations and enjoy it in good health!

Perhaps they knew each other? And congrats on the cat! It's a beauty!

I am going to keep the yellow splitters on for awhile to protect the front lip. Plus the yellow is growing on me.

That's what I was thinking but you would think one of them would have tried the cat. I even winked at the Z06 guy to egg him on. lol

I don't street race anyways but I like that nobody challenges me in the HC. I just get thumbs up and waves. In my 392 it seemed every time I went for a cruise somebody would be revving their engine at me.

It would have been even better to see them stopped by the police. The street is no place for racing
