Have RS run the VIN to see what the status is, then call the guy, find out the dealer, have the guy send you a copy of the POC and call the dealer to verify.

Sorry but to me that's even sleazier than the dealer marking it up. If you don't want it just walk away.

It says pre order. I still wouldn't trust it.

Sounds like BS unless you are getting something in writing from the dealership that has the order.

The rough part, is after he pays the $5K, the 'lucky buyer' takes over the order, but the conniving ebay seller already knows that his local Dodge dealer never gets any Hellcat allocations, just VON's but never anything past that! So, it's win - win, for the dealer, and the seller, and the only 'loser' is the rube that pays the five grand and is left with nothing but being on a waiting list for years on end!

Even if you have a VIN, its up to the dealer to say yes or no for you to sell your preorder,, Until you take delivery, its not your car to sell, Plain and simple..

That dude violates eBay listing practices by avoiding ebay fees and listing his contact info. eBay sellers should read their rules before posting to possibly scam someone, especially in regards to high dollar vehicles like a hellcat. besides the VIN listed you can find who the dealership is for LOL

Well eBay killed the listing LOL. GOOD! Ya you're right, you have to agreement with the dealership to purchase the car so once this numbnut has your $5k and cancels his order with the dealer, they have no obligation to slide you into his spot since they are not part of this listing or agreement.

I've been waiting for someone to sell their place in line. Kind of surprised it took this long. I give the seller points for trying it. He's till a scamming slime ball as he really doesn't have anything to sell. The ebay buyer is really getting screwed here. If the seller doesn't want the car, he should just get his deposit back and go away.
