Ugh, that is sad! So far, so good for me. Dante is at 4240 miles and no problems.

No, It's at a dealer for service.

    1) you can see the dealer service card in the windshield
    2) There is a post on a mechanic discussion forum by the mechanic (Who posted this photo)

I saw it this morning, didn't want to post it cause last time it happened the mechanic was fired for posting a picture of a customers car and what happened to it. Hope the owner doesn't care.

CubeMan.....does the post that you saw the photo on give any ideas as to what may have caused the motor to fail?

No, they haven't taken it apart yet. The mechanic said he would update the post further.

CubeMan....Thank you sir. I've heard of the lower pulley slipping and causing the motors to be replaced due to the crank being trashed and
I've saw one video of a green cat getting a motor replaced due to a dropped valve. I'm just trying to keep up with the failures and causes of
them. I'm likely going to void my warranty in the near future unless I start to see lots of motor failures.

I'll keep an eye on this thread to see what pops up. Thank you for starting it.

    Thanks CubeMan...

Could have been a failed head gasket but it would have to be a really bad failure to hydro lock the engine.

These engines are built strong heavy duty, I personally push RPM to max till the rev limit shuts down engine, then shift 150 to 200 RPM under that, did same to my 392 SRT8, Hellcat at 6,700 miles no problems yet, being an old drag 1/4 mile guy I still love to crack the throttle.
