In Virginia, one day in for every mph over 90...plus the fines would probably never stop coming

    Ouch!

I've mentioned several times going to jail for speeding. Saw a guy get one week for 105 in a 55. This is major stuff, think you're busy now? Stop everything hire an attorney and really freak out thinking about how long you'll be in jail. We need to take it easy guys. We have families.

Yep....I'm pretty sure this guy went straight to the pokey. As I recall...anything over 100 mph and it's a trip to jail. I'm sure he felt safe driving on HWY 61....lots of remote areas. One thing I don't think he considered before planting his right foot....... all the wildlife up there...including moose.

Guess some people have a hard time weighing risks versus benefits and just go for it. Lucky for him there wasn't a bad outcome. Hopefully, if he ever gets his license back, he won't try that again.

Never seen a recorded speed that high. Incredibly dangerous and no excuse for any such activity.

I have seen that speed on the street with a motorcycle. Now that is nutty.

The animals are a huge deal, but I did a project in Two Harbors and GM, I have to say the cops do patrol that highway pretty seriously. Especially more towards Duluth. He had to hammer that SS for a while or he had some mods. What do you guys think, 171 for 450 hp is pretty fast IMO?

The ancient Camaros like my car would top out stock around 155 to 160 with 320 hp. If he was gone be so reckless he should've had a fuzz buster or immediately slowed after he hit 170.
