Looks like my 69 will be going up for sale in the next week or so. Going to miss this ride, as it has always inspired me to run moonshine or tax free cigarettes across some imaginary state line... It always got lolly gaggers out of the left lane with a crack from the tailpipes & hauled pretty good azz for a land yacht...

Always made my giggle & put a shate eating grin on my face roll'in down the road...:D

Are you nuts? That's a 427 car and you're getting rid of it! Say it ain't so

That car had a 427 in before I got it, but previous owner blew it & dropped in a really sweet S.B. with a 700R4 transmission. I never chased the numbers, but I doubt it was an original 427 car. I don't think I really want to know now that I have decided to sell... Notice the "not" airbrushed before the 427 emblems...

Where are you going to put all the bodies that are in the trunk (there is always bodies in those big trunks).

Stinks you have to let her go but I do think you are upgrading!!!! Bittersweet I guess.

It's funny: Guy's always want to see the 427 in it. So when I pop the hood & show them, half don't have a clue what their looking at and go "Cool!" The other that do, usually notice the paint at the emblems & laugh...:p:D

Reminds me of when I had my '96 Impala SS. As you probably know they were all LT1 350 small blocks. I can't tell you how many people thought it had a factory 396 Big Block. People would actually try to argue with me. It was hysterical.

Eventually I buildt a 396 LT1 small block for it and then when people said "does that have the 396 motor"... I would just reply "yes it does".

My goal before the intro of the H/C was to put a manual 4 speed. in it, but the gear ratios to the 308 rear end sucked. So I have the pedals & Saginaw on the bench & was going to go with a Tremec TKO 5 spd. The 4 spd. would have made it a stump puller, but it would have lack in top end. I was also searching for a 68 - 70 Charger.

Needless to say: I was seduced by the dark side....

I got this car with most of the paperwork & protecto plate. The only thing here that's cool; is the fact that I know every owner before me through the 'used vehicle package' that is required here by law for any sale of a used car.

I almost sold my 69 road runner for the Hellcat. Then I woke up from my dream screaming. :)

That is lovely DWE. A friend of mine has I believe a 61 Impala with its original 409 and four speed gearbox.
