That's why you have an air filter.

True, but what about those who take their air filters out and suck in shop rags? :D.

I wonder if that restricts airflow by much?

Thanks for sharing it. But I will stick with the factory set up.
If I choose to run at the track minus the air filter I will risk it. I can pick up some time on the viper without the air filter but I don't know if I can with the Hellcat.

Now turkey season in the fall, that would be great to keep the feathers out.

I personally can't see the benefit. Anything that fly's into the tube will either be blocked by the air filter above or will just fall out through the bottom.

seen guys put chicken wire in their 13/14 grills.....this is a similar concept....i dont think its a good idea...you have an air filter.....and i really dont think things are really being sucked all that hard into that hole......someone floor their car and put a piece of paper near it....see if it even moves?

But then in winter you have to put on the storm window covering.

I would think this reduces airflow greatly.

I thought it might, but I had zero temp flux on the 50 mile trip I took today...all functions in the normal range. I put one one the passenger side as well where the plug naturally restricted any additional airflow from that side. If you think about it, the cross hair filament is very thin and adding another airflow port (passenger side) I'm guessing there's probably more cooling air available. Though primarily asthetics, I don't think there will be any short- or long-term issues. We'll see. Easy fix if so.

The new additions did not restrict air flow, did not hinder perform and did not render Plain Jane's beauty to that of a drag queen. Second place overall MOPARS at this weekend's event. Judges didn't like not having tire shine on the vehicle...sobeit!
