For those who changed to 3.09 gear and drag race....I would like to know how traction at the drag strip was with 20" Drag Radials as compared to the stock gear. I would assume it would be more difficult to launch and is track prep is not perfect would be harder than it is stock.

It depends on the radial. Nitto 555R's, it will be more difficult to launch.

Ratios go down from 12+ to 8+ for first gear. Closer to the M6 ratio for first

I have never run the Mickey 20's. From what I have seen, they hook nicely. I went from the 20' Nitto 555r's ( best 60' with stock gears was a 1.61) to the 17" Mickey Street R's.

I'm thinking, unless your track does a really good job with prep, you will have issues hooking.... even using the Mickeys... that short sidewall is going to hurt you
