Anybody know anything about the replica HC wheels that are all over eBay for about $200-$225? I'd like to get an extra pair to mount some DR's on, but I'm concerned about quality. Should I fear them coming apart at high speed or high load? I'm not sure if they're hub-centric, either. Just being careful. I'd like to avoid paying $1500 for a pair of OEM's.

We plan to buy one or two sets for the rear of Kristi's car...We'd like to have wider rubber for the street and of course stickies for the track.
Even replica wheels are required to meet minimum DOT standards, so my hope is that they will be reasonably straight and balance well. We'll report back shortly.

They will not be forged wheels. They will be cast.

I wonder if the factory units are Chinese. I bet they are!

How tight a fit are 315/35s in the wheelwell? Do you have to use a different offset?

If it's tight, I'll just stick with the 9 inch wheels. It's my understanding that a tall contact patch is better than a wide one for drag racing.....negating much benefit from running 305/35s. 315s are another story.

I don't have mine yet but someone posted an OEM set for sale with photos that clearly said Taiwan.

I don't mind them for normal driving but for DRs I don't know. Our stock wheels are lightweight but the replicas I've owned in the past were much heavier. How much do the replicas weigh?

I don't know why someone would put cheep heavy cast wheels on a car that came with forged wheels from the factory but that's just my .02 cents ;)

I put the 20x10 aftermarkets on mine with the Nitto 305's and everything fits fine. I will say that the finish looked like they were painted with spray paint that you would paint a BBQ grill with. I went and had mine powder coated and now they look awesome!
