My car is scheduled to arrive in the local trainyard on the 21st and unloaded on the 22nd. The Schedule report then shows it arriving at the dealer on the 27th, 5 days later.

The trainyard is 15 miles from the dealer. I REALLY do not want my cat to sit in the trainyard for six days. The dealer is telling me this is based on truck schedules. I have suggested they rent a flatbed and go get it. I haven't heard back.

    Is this typical?

yes its typical that the dealer didn't respond to your suggestion....

i am 567.8 mi from the railyard and depending on how many dealers are on the truck for those deliveries it can be 3 to 5 days.

i guess the 5 day time frame is nearly the longest it could be.

My dealer is about 20 miles from the rail yard. It arrived late on a WED evening...was placed in constructive placement...I guess the yard was really busy. Anyway, they unloaded it FRI morning and didn't get received by the transporter till late Fri afternoon. My dealer doesn't do weekend deliveries. Supposed to arrive on MON...but didn't show until Tues noon.

Typical time? Weeks and weeks and weeks. Don't worry, you'll probably have it by Labor Day.

They ( the cars) get "staged" there so they can more effectively load the car haulers, It can be less and more, I was watching them in the winter when I was waiting on mine. My car was a special case with the black hood and it was sent to Wisconsin on a truck, did not hit the rail system.

So it just depends on how many cars are going to your dealer and if any sat longer than yours and they run out of space on the truck. Would suck if your the newest car there and they put some mini van on the truck and the hellcat sits, but that is what it is, they are not going to just load you up cause its a hellcat

Correct....they don't seem to be giving the HC's any "love". Darts, mini vans, HC's...all the "same difference" to the transporters.:p I will say the guy/driver who unloaded mine was very careful with it!!:)

My dealer called in a "hot tag" on mine. It's at the final yard now waiting to be trucked over. He said he would call the yard on Monday to flag it again.
