    1.605 60ft.

3.09 rear gear & DSS aluminum shaft. 18 Bravado's with MT street "R"'s.

Its funny what a couple of hundredth's will do to your brain.......I went from having fun & keeping my warranty to wanting to get to the 10.0XXXX and **** the warranty....LOL. The more i read i guess i REALLY should consider pinning the crank even if not modding & if i do that do i just throw the 10% ATI on while im there......etc, etc, etc. I am pushing 100 plus 1/4 mile runs on this car with no signs of losing interest in dragging it so its future life is not going to be easy.

Another alternative is trying to shed some pounds from the old girl. It weighs 4650 pounds with me in it......... i have seen some on here mentioning weight loss but gaining horsepower seems like an easier thing to do and is what most are doing. I see there are some bumper supports available, K members, rear seat delete kits, lightweight drag wheels, etc. Adding it up it seems like 300 pounds may be comfortably removed but again how far do you go and at what price is it worth it or not.

Just venting here, for now i am more leaning towards the weight reduction through wheels & such, but the crank pinning thing has me stymied a bit.

    Thoughts?

    Happy racing!

Ha, decisions decisions.... Either way you will have fun. You can either work to be come very consistent as is (with current mods) or go for it!

If you decide to go for it there is plenty of good info others have posted on what works. Look at what TopCat and Linda's Hell Cat have done!

LOL I always get a kick out car guys (me included) when we stand around saying how important it would be to take another 30 lbs out of the car... and then realize with the exception of the motor, I am probably the heaviest single component in the car!

I dont have a clue as to what the DA was..................1200 ft above sea level, 64 degrees & been stormy & shit all week.

Great track prep with a tiny bit of slip on the tires/wheels. Like 1 inch over 3 runs.

Mine weights 4510 with me in it. 1/4 tank gas, empty washer bottle, fr sway bar removed, everything out of trunk. CF DS, 309, bravados with 305 45 18s. 10.65 @ 130 2000 DA. so + another 100# is a tenth. I drank the punch and tuned it, waiting for some equal weather to compare.

You will get there, just need the right weather & there is definitely an art to launching these cars. Last year I ran 10.88 @ 125.02 in stock trim, 1/2 tank fuel, bravado's with Nitto NT05's. Best 60 ft was 1.605.

Now with the 3.09, all else the same except now i have MT street "r"'s, i hit 10.79 @ 128.49. 4650 lbs with me in it. My best 60ft with this setup was 1.58

Looks like I'm keeping too much gas in my tank too lol -- Time to bring the tank fuel in 1/2 mile when I hit it next time.

My tank was full. 60 foot was 1.69. i will make sure it has 1/4 tank nest time.lol And I am going to upgrade to the 3.09. I just ordered the dss aluminum driveshaft. Did you have to tune the car for the 3.09 gears?

No tune for me. I am having a ball with it as it is with a warranty.......mabye........

Spend some time getting used to the car/track/tires/launch. I mean like a seasons worth. The 3.09 puts the car @ redline in 5th at the traps & your 60's will drop some, but the biggest thing is launching properly. The rule of thumb is that whatever you knock off from the 60 it will at least knock off that double in the ET. For you that is a 10.90 if you get that 60 down a pinch.
