Mounted a set of 555 Nittos 275 front (full tread depth) and 315R rear (shaved) on my Charger.
Getting good traction, but zero life. Have under 2000 kms on rears and they need to be replaced as they are unusable (dangerous) in wet conditions.
Have any of you tried full tread depth Nittos 555 on the back ie wider than the 275s - any better than the stock Pirellis for traction?
Anyone tried putting wider Pirellis matching the OEM on the rear eg 295 or 305? (I see that some of them for the Ferrari and Porsche seem to have pretty wide contact patches). If so how is the traction compared to the stock tires?
    Thanks for your help.

    You had the rears shaved?

I thought Hellcats were "self shaving" when it came to tires....

I've heard of a lot of shaved things, and enjoy most of those tings. But why would you shave your tires? You're not doing a high speed run on Bonneville or anything

Why would you shave off perfectly good rubber? Wouldn't it be more enjoyable to just smoke them down in the street?

No, the drag radials come with only 5/32 of rubber to start with so they do not shred during burnouts.
I want to replace them with sticky full tread depth tires, like the fronts, since I do not plan on drag racing it.

Got it. ..... I think! Would be weird knowing there are people with Hellcats that can't be bothered to burn their own rubber
