Folks, I know we have lots of threads but I need more info!!!

Is the Pirelli summer tire the best all around tire for going 200mph and running 11sec 1/4 mile??

What is the best tire for both options?
    Thanks

To get useful responses you might want to describe your needs a little more completely.

    Drive in rain?
How many miles do you need the tires to last?
Do any autoxes or road course track days?
How many times will you go to the drag strip in a year?
    Are you lowering your car?
    Only using stock wheels?
What's your budget for a set of tires?

Yup, not many tires have the 200mph seal of approval.

If you're sticking with 275/40/20 and legitimately need to do 200 MPH then the Pirellis probably are the best tire. As soon as you allow other sizes like 285/35/20 there are other, likely better options. It's a lower profile tire so unless you lower your car most people will think it looks a little funny.

If you would consider race compound tires in a 285/35/20 like the Toyo R888, Pirelli Corsa or Trofeo, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2, etc. they will still handle the top speed and will give you better traction for the drag strip. They will likely wear out on the street in 6000 miles or so though.

I don't own them but they are touted for the Corvette Z06 so my guess is they would be better than the stock tires. They look like they would grip better. But again for me, my second set are Nitto 555R Drag Radials, and they will see some street and track.

The Michelin Pilot Super Sports have a speed rating of 186mph. I don't know where you're gonna hit 200 mph but good on you. They have a 300 tread ware rating, so they last. I found they grip pretty damn well. And they come with a warranty.
