    Chevy & Ford beware! Dodge's Viper ACR goes from 100 to 120 mph in 2.1 seconds, while the more powerful Chevy Corvette Z06 does that same roll in 2.6 seconds (to the British, Corvette is a brand, and the car is oddly called the "Corvette Stingray Z06"), and the less powerful Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R does it in 3.7 seconds.

    From 100-110 the ACR is a monster too, doing this in just 0.7 seconds! The McLaren P1 and the LaFerrari both need 0.8 seconds, and the Porsche 918 Spyder needs 0.9. Sadly the ACR only traps 124 mph in the quarter-mile (127.3 mph at the highest), while the McLaren, the Ferrari and the Porsche all trap in the 145-160 range. Imagine if the ACR was just near as fast as the big three hypercars.

    2016-02-13_23.25.51.jpg The Mustang GT350R needs 2.2 more seconds to nearly match the ACR's trap speed in the standing kilometer (the "five-eighth mile" to us yankee crackers, rednecks, etc).

At least Chevy is coming up with the 1LE LT V6 and SS V8 versions of the Camaro, and Dodge has yet to make a track car based on the Challenger. On the other hand, the new Ford GT isn't a competitor due to its high price and power-to-weight ratio.

    Z06 Standing quartermile: 10.6sec at 130mph. I think that's the best time i've seen for the manual Z06 transmission. Very fast.

    And don't forget, it's from a reliable MAGAZINE. Similar to Car and Driver and Motor Trend. The first mag to do 10s in a stock Z.
