the modes changes traction control and suspension settings......in the A6 I also believe it will change shift points.

I have a M6 so don't quote me on the shift point deal.

All that info is on the cd. You can also with the car running tap the SRT on the lower right of the screen and that will bring up your performance pages. image.png
    Hope this helps.

*A8, and yes, it changes the shift points. Holds it in gear longer and tightens up the shifts.

Switching modes with the m6 will only change ur suspension stiffness and traction control

Definitely crisper higher RPM shift points and noticeable downshifting in track mode than street mode with the A8.

    Ok thanks

Then what's everyone's favorite mode that has a manual transmission?
I've noticed track mode is very stiff .

for a manual track mode wont do anything for you unless your on a twisty track....on a 1/4 mile it will hurt you suspension wise and TC wise....

for the 1/4 mile track you'd want street suspension and sport tc

since the car isnt made for a twisty track(its a pig) there isnt much purpose to track mode

For what it's worth I just left the SRT track experience and the pros there don't even use track mode. It's either street or sport depending on how slick the track is. We just kept it in street mode all day on the long 1 mile road course.

And for some perspective, the vipers were left in street mode too... During the pro hot laps the vipers were ripping 43 second laps (give or take a tenth) to the Hellcats 48 second laps. The Hellcats really benefit from the computer help on the turns!

I only run in Track mode with my M6, it is a stiff ride but i love it... and since i choose what RPM and what gear, there is no computer winding out every gear or slamming them.. plus I love that it opens the active exhaust valves more making it a bit louder "resonates more" while driving
