I have a charger and have noticed that while driving in street mode trans seem very quick to upshift gears. At 40 I'm in 8th gear and it is slow to downshift if I hammer it. Even in the other modes there seems to be some lag. Would a flash of trans help this. Not an update but a reflash?

Check with your dealership to see if your car has one open. Good luck.

That's why they call it street mode... from mild to wild (street-->sport-->Track). My shifts quick in street and as you go up, the shift points change and get firmer.

If you have questions or think it's not behaving correctly, see your dealer.

Yea street is very tame.. That's why mine is always in sport or track. I like the downshifts better in sport but I love how it shakes your teeth when shifting in track... So depends on the day for me (but I'm never in street.. Like never ever ever ever ever ever ever never)

I like track but I noticed it will not shift into 8th on the highway if left in track. If I change it to sport or street while driving on the highway, it will immediately shift to 8th.

I keep my Charger in "Street" and have no complaints. As for the downshifts, if I put my right foot down all hell breaks loose... RIGHT NOW!

I often will flip the shifter over to manual just to prevent it going a higher gear. I'm in Valet/Eco mode for the winter and it still will go into 7th or 8th when I enter a zone that's about 60 km/h. I don't like it either, since it takes a lot to get it to down shift.

I just put it in manual, then flip it over to auto for half a second, to allow it to shift up a gear as I go. It's kinda enjoyable as it makes me feel like I own a manual transmission car. ;)
