Hi all, quick question to see if anyone else has had this happen.

    - Picked up a 2015 Charger Hellcat brand new in 2015
    - After the break in period I put on winter tires (car handled great btw) and used the black FOB as well as had the vehicle in Eco mode for the season
    - At 3,500 kms it went into limp mode with the transmission light on and I had it towed to a dealer.
    - Turns out the transmission was down 1 litre of fluid and there were no leaks
    - I asked what they might think the reason was and they responded with "You drive the car to hard". I was surprised to find out that they actually put that on my warranty as FCA Canada confirmed that was what they think.

Given how I have driven it I am looking to find out if others have had issues with the same response to them being "your driving habits".

I would call the BS flag on that for sure. FCA promoted this as a track car. So what the hell is driving it to heard mean?

Auto transmissions are sealed for life and dont need fluid changes. If it's low I'd be looking for leaks. Doesn't sound right too me.
Time for a better dealer IMHO

There is no driving the car too hard. If the transmission is down 1ltr of fluid that means it wasn't filled up all the way or it's leaking. Those transmissions as stated above are SEALED.

Though the car's driveshaft disagrees with us all, It's meant to go down the strip and in some cases around the track.

Transmission either overheated and attempted to save itself or is toast.

That makes no sense to me. It's not like an engine where it will use more oil when drive hard.

The trans is sealed. If you are losing fluid it's either leaking or being forced out a vent (which usually means it was OVERFILLED to start with). Neither is normal. You aren't going to dump 1 quart of fluid out of a vent.

I bet most Hellcats are beat hard. If that's the case they would all be low on trans fluid!

Maybe one of the techs. on site can chime in with their experience here.
