Just wanted to get this out there, My charger is headed in as the trunk lid rubbed through the paint on the bumper. My dealer, which has been awesome is taking the car for warranty repairs and giving me a loaner. Anyone else had or seen this problem?

Also at 1,800 miles the rear end gear whines between 70-85 mph cruising on the highway which is the optimum cruising speed. Hopefully when they drive it, they say its a bad gear and replace the center section

Do you have a picture of it closed? Looks like trunk latch is set too deep

I've got a Charger and will look at the spacing between bumper and trunk lid.

I'll grab a picture of it closed this evening. The body shop and myself, discovered the body lines for the truck lid to rear quarters was about perfect. After investigation the bumper appears to be sitting up high. The bumper is also rubbing on the RHS tail light.

Just to give an update on this thread, The dealer ship had to remove the bumper to repaint, and re adjust it down. The truck lid does not rub anymore. Also They investigated the rear end whine. Factory support told them to drain and filter the rear diff fluid and look for metal. No metal was found so they re filled with fresh fluid and also did a PCM update. The whine is still there (but quieter) and the service adviser told me to to put another 2,000 miles on it and if its still makes noise we can take further action. But from what I am reading on the forums, the whine is a common deal on the hellcats. I can live with the sound of mine if i have to as its not over whelming.

The whine just adds to the powerful sounds that come from a Hellcat!
