So after learning that launch control LOOKS/SOUNDS/FEELS impressive, but won't get the best times, I decided to try a few practice runs.

ALL in default mode, two people in the car, these are my first attempts.

    1st run: 4.5 seconds.
    2nd run: 4.6 seconds.
    3rd run 4.3 seconds.

Then I checked my tire pressure and... 49 PSI on all four! Yikes. I'll adjust and try again, but I have no doubt I can get down into the 3's without much trouble. The power of this car at speed is incredible, so it's all about rolling into the throttle with minimal slip. This car is hilarious good fun!

    A8 or M6?

for m6 i think those times are really good....for A8 you need DR's and feather in your launch better...i dont floor mine until after im into 2nd gear...maybe in the middle of 2nd gear

    Yup...Charger with A8 of course.
I think it'll be a snap getting down to 3.7 or so. But I don't think I'll kill my tires trying to get down to the 3.4 second times I've seen with stock rubber. Proper tire pressure, one passenger...should get me 3.7 to 3.9 without drama.

I have not gotten below 4.3 either (A8) because my break in was complete in early November and I was mostly trying in 50 degree weather.

Need to have warmer weather and a lot of restraint to get a better time. It's counter intuitive. Seems that's why guys go to the DRs so soon after buying the car.

I will get into the 3's with the stock rubber for sure. Maybe today!

I aired down to 35 PSI and...my Charger is starting to cook!

    1st run: 4.2
    2nd run: 4.3
    3rd run: 4.2
    4th run: 4.1

Gettin' better, but I really want to get in the 3 second range. The above is with a half tank of fuel and a 120 lb passenger.

Thanks...I just want to get under 4 seconds with the stock rubber and I'll be at peace with the world. (For now)

I got a 4.3 and a 4.1 today myself on stock.I've been getting 4.4-4.6 but found a good new paved road and finally felt a little traction at launch and 2nd gear shift.

Drop the air pressure to 25lbs...and leave the 120lb passenger home..

I feel bad when my tires don't grip, so when they slip I tend to back off. I did one mini-burnout to heat up the tires, but I feel like I'm killing them!
