I'm posting this after reading some members have changed there oil and added the OM 's amount only too be over the fill line.Since then i've seen threads that the 6.4 SRT jeeps have a TSB 09-011-15 for 6.4 hemi's built before june 12/2015 that have part no.(on dipstick) 05038472AA(old) are too receive a new dipstick 05038472AB(new) since the old ones are incorrect !!

Please keep in mind i have not seen anything too say the 6.2 dipstick is off like the 6.4 BUT I would think the 6.2 is of the same family and with a oil cooler would be at least 7/qt. so for now i will stay the OM :)specs.

I have used six twice. My dipstick shows full, it better not be 1.5 qt low.

That would truly suck. We'll need to grill the srt reps on that question...just to be safe.

It has to be close. It runs 59-62 psi and never changes. That was the same readings stock.

First change and I'm at the top of the dipstick with 6. It almost looks like I'm overfilled actually.

I think we might all need a definitive answer IMG_1924.JPG from a SRT Tech
This is from the online manual I down loaded on the 30th April.
It quite clearly states 6 quarts of oil

Yeah, WTF is up with this...I have been putting 6 in mine because both the manual AND the dipstick said so, but it has always seemed low to me. BUT, it is the same amount, according to the dipstick, that came in the car stock when I first got her. Soooooo....which is it?

Tallcool1 confirms that 6 quarts is correct. When we did my oil change we put back in just over 6 litres. Bang on the full mark on the dipstick.

Gotcha, so there is little possibility that both the dipstick AND the manual is off and, in fact, the engine takes 7.5? I still wonder why it would only take 6.
