Per CNBC, the UAW plans to Strike FCA at an unknown location or locations starting tomorrow night.

Hope it's not Brampton. Time will tell.

That's not a good thing when one walks out all the rest usually follow.
Hopefully they will get this settled soon.

In Canada we have a different union (Unifor). Not affiliated with UAW and does not affect production in Brampton Assembly Plant

Part suppliers contracts are not on the same time line as FCA/UAW members if they are unionized at all.
Most automotive suppliers are located close to the Assembly Plant to reduce trasportation costs.

Most are located in Canada, in some instances a manafacturer has more than
one supplier for the same part incase of labour disruptions

Well, I feel bad for those that have waited soooo long for their car! I have to and will bite my tounge on talking about the whole unionized workplace. In a global marketplace car companies can basically build and ship vehicles anywhere. As a business, why would you pay nearly $30 an hour plus all the health/pension costs, when you can set up shop somewhere else for much less. This is just an observation/opinion, so please don't get angry at me.
