Maybe they will take the car, fill it up with gas, wash and wax it for me!

I've been seeing this and i really think it depends on the car as well. Certain cars yet are more electronic, steering, trans etc. But on cars where it isn't drive by wire they just turn the car. Same think with brakes, trans. If its a mechanical linkage they are only limited so much. On cars that have the 9-speed just rotar dial etc, that is a different situation. I suppose its possible they could get in and play with the throttle, but as for braking, turning etc, they wouldn't be able to do that, not to us anyway

While listening to NPR Radio on the way home from work tonight, they played a recording of the incident that transpired, and discussed it afterwards. One of the experts did mention that Chrysler was the only manufacture to manually create a "patch" for this sort of thing - and that Chrysler had recently done this before this vehicular attack... So to that, kudos to FCA.

It still is all a little worrying. I do not have access to a Uconnect account as I am in the UK. That might be a good thing or just the fact that it even has the Uconnect capability could allow someone to hack into it. I'm not into modern day cars. All my cars save for one still have an accelerator cable. The Hellcat I had to make allowances for

They should all be arrested for doing this on a public road if that is in fact true (which I doubt since it is from the media). This also makes me want to shove that shark fin up a Dodge entertainment engineer's ass sideways.

How can we disable the cell phone antenna may be the next ******* mod.

But then what if you want to use it, the uconnect, wifi etc? This isn't something thats THAT uncommon now a days. Just need to do the security updates and do the best you can

I don't care about the phone through the flippin radio, and would do away with bluetooth entirely for playing music too if the direct USB connection wasn't so fucky. I don't want updates on the fly either.

Called my Dealer yesterday and asked about this issue, and was told there is no update for the Hellcat. Got a call a few hours later, and was told there was. I have an appointment tomorrow morning.
