    All,

Just an FYI (although quite obvious to most)....

I downloaded the Uconnect software update last night to USB and went to install. Everything was working fine up until my Cat decided to shut off after 15 minutes in the "run" mode (no engine running). Now my radio will not power on at all or reset. It's currently at the dealership getting looked at. I assume the car shuts off after a certain amount of time to prevent battery drain? I thought that was only in accessory mode. Oh well, hopefully Uconnect or Dodge can help me here.

Again, might be obvious to most, but I somehow overlooked the car shutting off 3/4 way through the update.

My update didn't even take 15 min. Maybe 8 min max.

Its for the 2015 and older systems to be able to use SIRI.

Wow sorry to hear that happened to your radio. My update went smooth and took around 10min. I opened and closed the door a few times otherwise I touched nothing else inside car. I was going to put it on a battery charger because I know that's how the dealer does it when they update PCM. But I was fine without it

Exactly, clearly a warranty issue. This was not your fault. Before putting out an update that could potentially brick any component Dodge should take all reasonable steps to prevent this from happening.

I figured warranty would cover all, but still sucks. The Uconnect site does warn to not turn the car off (which I didn't), but I had no idea my car would take so long to update (evidently longer than most people on here!), and then turn off on its own. Lesson learned....

Did you remote start the car when doing the update?
It should not shutoff unless remote started - unless something has changed recently in the programming.

You just press start twice for run mode. Engine is off during procedure.

Nope--touched nothing, except pushed the start button twice to the run position. I sat in the car watching the procedure (with the door shut) and the car just turned off by itself after about 15 mins.

You did what the instructions say to do so I have no explanation. Makes me concerned about doing mine.
