I was under the impression that a firmware update would fix the poor satellite radio sound quality but I think I'm running the latest version (15.6.1) and it still sounds poor. Am I wrong?

I know what you mean but I expect it to work like it's supposed to.

There is a dealer flash for the amp that came out on 5/6 specifically to address "Poor audio sound quliaty".

This is not a flash you can do.. Dealer only. The complete service bulletin is in the WIKI section of the forum under Service Bulletins.

Our Cat just came from Canada last week. Does you're statement still apply?

What SRT_HC_707 said, the software update doesn't do a whole lot, it is the dealer AMP TSB that fixes it.

ONLY available for Chargers/300 so far, challengers are out of luck for now. Unless they added the challenger in the last few days.

Can anyone confirm that they were able to use this TSB to have the amp flash performed on a Challenger, as the TSB states only Charger and 300?

My dealer did a search and couldn't fine a TSB or anything beyond the 15.6.1 software. My car was built on 4/01. Actually my radio sounds pretty good but I miss the bass hit I had in my '08 Challenger. Maybe I'm asking too much from the smaller woofers in my Charger. The Challenger would vibrate the mirrors.

My 09 Challenger had the Sound Group II package, which is nowhere near the specs of the HK, and had a lot more meat to it. My sense is that this isn't a hardware issue though - more than a dozen speakers, two of them being 10 inch subs with 900 watts of power going to them should be enough to shake your teeth out. The HK is missing mid-bass, which is what gives the audio "depth", for lack of a better term (imho).

Hoping maybe this amp update that people are doing on the Chargers and 300s solves that, and can be applied to the Challenger.

Negative. When I read the TSB I missed that it was Charger/300 only. I checked with dealer and they confirmed..

Edited to correct my statement above!!!
