    Hi all,

    I currently have a 2010 SRT-8 6 speed in plum crazy with 34k miles-love it!
Close to making a deal on a used 2015 cat-auto full leather for $60k with 4k miles.
I am seeing more and more used 2015's coming up at dealers in the low $60's, and even a few 16's.
Knowing I kept the other Challenger 3.5 years I don't want to make too big of a financial mistake.
Seems like demand and pricing is beginning to soften with increased availability...any sage advice?

Sage advice will be different from person to person and opinion varies. If you can afford the 15 and do all the necessary homework. Carfax and auto check is where I would start. Do your research on car before making any deal, you will benefit from this.

15 hellcat a8 trams for 60,000 isn't a bad buy and not bad considering used car dealer and sellers alike are cashing in on unsuspecting owners.
4K mileage is low and we have to assume that if you have owned a challenger at some point you drive fast and test the cars abilities.
16 HC could also be a better buy for you too and I am not sure of the pricing you have for them. Subtle changes in 16 with come upgrades are not worth the added 3/4,000 it cost for same equip 15 platform.
    Hope this was helpful

    Thanks Captain,

Curious-besides laguna leather being a no charge option for '16, are there any other real changes to the car besides the year difference, color availability, and software updates? I know 3 years down the road a '16 will be worth a few $1000 more than a comparable '15 with similar equipment and miles...

Laguna leather is not a no charge option. FCA jacked the price of the car $2K and made Laguna standard (it used to be a $2K option). You can still get the base suede/alcantera type seat in black or red as a no charge 'option'. So if you don't want Laguna you pay $2K for the cheap seats (not really cheap -- same seat different cover but what they did makes no sense to me).

In agreement with srthc107 here. The subtle changes are not worth the add on for Pricing bump. Demand basically caught up with buyers and Chrysler knows they will sell regardless. Very good point

Adds to new 16 platform is back up camera, change to have diff radio system, color and stripe options, change to diff interior type and color with NO reduction in price
All the while again bumping the price 3-4000 on a8 platform and a bit less on m6. Not 100% without looking up the complete details. I Think I am close though

Hellcat's a Hellcat, just make sure who you buy if from someone who broke it in right and gave it TLC not abuse. Many are beat up too early, premature junk in the making.. I hear all the nightmares on here, I have 1760 on mine, oil changed at 1350, still haven't had it wide open thru the full quarter, not a problem at all, best car I've ever owned as far as warranty or dealer return issues.. not one. :):D:D

Thanks for all the input-just to clarify-backup camera was standard in 15 also, correct?
If I can get a decent value for my car against a fair price for the hellcat in a color combo I like so it all works I think I will be happy for a long time!
With either year I will run out of months on warranty way before miles...

No difference at all except sunroof availability and some colors.

What is the most miles an used Hellcat could have that you wouldn't be concerned if you didn't know the owner personally? Also, what would you estimate the depreciation $ per mile would be for a car like that?
There is a '15 that I am looking at with 4900 miles. I doubt I would keep it past 100k miles which that '15 year has warranty on for the powertrain.

Very nice :) Was this a different one than you originally mentioned in your first post (that one had 4k miles)? Did you get it close to $60k as well?
