    Hey all,

As you may have read in another thread, I have an Extreme Viper 1 of 1 on order. Its literally decked out with every option, including the GTS leather interior...

SOOOO, I ordered Stryker Green, my favorite ($8900 upcharge :( ) and I wanted a black ACR center stripe, and a red driver's stripe.

Despite saying you can "order any color or combination you want" I got a call today from Viper saying they would not do the red driver's stripe, as they won't put a red stripe on "any Stryker color..."

So much for 1 of 1... I can understand limiting the driver stripes to black and red, but to say NO to red, and YES to black kind of defeats a 1 of 1 sales approach.

Oh well my .02 anyway. They'll build a pink viper with metallic pink stripes, but WON'T put a red stripe on Stryker green....

WhiteTrash, Your political correctness and exceedingly kind words makes me nauseous. Does being the VP of anything make it worth ditching your cutting sarcasm, and evil intended one liners? <shakes head>:eek::rolleyes:

They have good reason... red on green would look disgusting. They are clashing colors, not complementary colors. It's basic design...

    But congrats on the car.

Where are they marketing it under the "Extreme Viper" moniker? A search returns nothing. You mean a 2016 Viper ACR, right?

*Edit: I see, you got the Extreme Aero Package on the ACR. So "Extreme" is just part of the package name, it's still an ACR. Got it.

Have to disagree, I think red and green look great together... besides its my $$ and a 1 of 1 program... I know there are some shades of green red doesn't work well with, but this one I believe does...

i assume they have a charge for the red stripe....simply take it to a paint shop and add it afterwards

Dodge has always been choosy on which colors it will mix...when sublime 1st came out they didnt allow basketball seats in them for a few months (which i think was a smart move)

they dont want a viper christmas tree..

i DO agree you should be able to make your car any way you want.....but obviously they have standards they want to keep for their top car...you may disagree with their standards, but it is what it is...

congrats on the car....its the color id pick too

I have an SSG car, so let me first and foremost compliment you on your color choice.

The painted center band on the Gen Vs is different than what's on my ACR, due to the (awesome) return to the classic Viper clamshell. But I actually prefer the wider center band on the Gen IVs, following the hood line through the full black roof, tail, and CF wing.

Have you considered doing your center band and driver's stripe in vinyl? Order the full Stryker Green paint job, but then choose your own center band width and placement? You could try your red stripe idea, or the more conventional "cutout" driver stripe to reveal the green paint (as per some Gen IV ACRs).

And you'd have a nice, wide section of vinyl-protected hood for those track days already on your calendar.

    Congrats on the ACR!

they probably think your design won't float like what DJ Mickey or whatever dude did to the ferrari and made it teal or aqua blue with graphics all over it. Good luck on the build and dont forget to post pics soon!

Looks good. Red ties in well with the calipers and the wing stanchions.

If I owned a company and yo were paying that much for it you could have it any color you want. Good luck with the acr. Should be a heck of a ride.
On a side note I wonder if they would just put clear coat over bare metal. There's an idea.

Hey Augdog... Congrats on the ACR... awesome car. I'm not sure about the red on green for a stripe but I would have to see it to be sure. (not in a picture) Look at the bright side... not getting that stripe probably saved you $4500 dollars... Stryker Green is a fantastic color and looks outstanding on a Viper.
