This may have been discussed previously?

Is it a bad idea to bring your cat in for service or warrantee work with drag radials on the back?

Can or will they void your warrantee?

    Thank you!

Yeah, just like any other tire....just make sure you don't drive into the dealer with melted rubber on the quarter panels and you should be OK....

You might think it's a no-brainer, but someone I know had his car towed from the road outside the drag strip - (he busted a half shaft while racing) and he didn't wash up the quarter panels and wheel wells. The dealer refused the repair under warranty.

I would swap tires. Put factory rubber back on before taking it in.

The one thing i did do was reset the top speed before i handed it back in. They can still put it from the computer but hopefully they won't look that far if they go onto the dash and only see (80ish-90mph) rather then 171.

Though, There's if the engine blows going 170 or drivetrain issues, the car is meant to so i dunno why i'm so scared.

If you are like a handful of people on here that have put on DRs, Nittos, etc to replace your stock tires, and aren't racing etc, but just want them for the better grip etc, and you go in for something you will be fine. Obviously if you go in there with rubber all over the car and a broken shaft you may have issues. But that will also cme down to the dealer. Some care "as stated above" some don't care.

Simply refer to their website and the * that says 10.8 with drag radials. As far as I am concerned I can do a burn out coming in to the dealer if they try to say it is not what the car was intended for I will pull up a commercial and say yeah thats exactly what you advertise it to do .

"Abuse" is subjective. Common sense prevails. It's the "don't get stupid" principal. Either way the burden of proof is on them to prove abuse. I'm thinking it would have to be pretty obvious for them to refuse a repair.

dont give them any reason to point the finger and blame. just have discount tire pop your regular tires back on if you're unsure.

This is funny. The car was made for the drag strip. And for doing burnouts. FYI, SRT stands for. Street, racing, technology.
Maybe try to be nice to the dealership. They normally will take care of there customers.
I have my dealership do an inspection on my car before I go on long trips or 1/4- 1/2 mile runs.

They advertise the car at a drag strip, doing a 10.85 on DRs, the car was built to run down the strip, they can't say anything...they market it this way

Yup take care of your service techs. My dad has a scat pack charger and i have my hellcat challenger and only 1 tech works on our cars and does our oil. My dad picked him and the service manager up some nice meat and cheese holiday gift packs and gave them it for Christmas. They have always taken good care of us. When my M6 was in for head gasket issues he put it on the lift 6 feet in the air when he wasn't there so people couldn't rub on it or bump it.
