So I was driving home the other day from the office and, even though the weather said it would not rain, I drove through a rain shower. It wasn't too bad, maybe about 15 minutes or so, but I was wondering, is the damage caused from the rain covered under the warranty or is this an insurance claim? I have a $1000 deductible on the insurance so I was hoping Dodge would fix it under warranty. Any advice?

I would sue the weather station for damages and emotional trauma.

Yup like AAR said ask for a new vehicle. I wouldn't want my car anymore after it has been in rain. It starts the rust process and devalues the car.

Check out Paragraphs 3.5 and 3.6 of the linked document. Then talk to your dealer service manager to see what they will cover.

    Sure, ...

There should be enough damage from the rain drops, based upon the piss-poor weather forecasting, to get you warranty coverage.

But if your dealer balks, appeal the matter to FCA and their SRT executives to get it covered ...

Failing that, tell FCA that adequate compensation can be made only by taking back your current vehicle in exchange for a 2017 MY Hellcat, as well as the addition of coverage in the new warranty for any future rainy days that your 2017 Hellcat might be subjected to.

Be sure to send them your attorney's business card as an exclamation point. ;)

And don't forget to ask them to throw in a smoke sifter.

OP, what you need to do to get it covered is to make sure something that is definitely under warranty also needs fixing and is related, like your blinker fluid or your muffler bearings. Definitely get those checked out first.

Somehow this feels like a jab at those of us who won't take our HC's out if there are any clouds in the sky or the chance for rain is above single digit percentages...

Cause if it is, I'm going to go into the garage and tell Kitty yer all being mean and hateful and tell her to infect your HC'S with "codes" via the UConnect services...

She'll do it too, she will...
