Have you tried the Atkins diet? 4409 pounds is too much, not healthy. Oh, wait, you're talking about your car. ;) (Just a little humor. Arthur)

Wish I could help. I think you have to remove seats and such to lose any real weight. Hang in there as I'm sure some f the nice, knowledgeable people who hang out on this site will offer suggestions soon. Have a great weekend

If enough of our Hellcats keep kicking a## at the drag track watch for someone to come out with fiberglass fenders. Problem: $$$ If they make it with good material can they sell it and make $$$, If you run modified you should be able to run glass fenders.

What are you wanting to use it for and how radical. Spare tire kit and rear seat gone should get you a decent chunk. Wheels and reciprocating weight is big gains. I bet 400lbs easy and if converting to race car 700lbs is as simple as stripped to shell interior and all doors skinned etc... Look in our race cars for some sobering reality

Work on reducing the unsprung weight too. Aluminum drive shaft is a good start

I'm surprised the nay sayers haven't jumped in to say it cant or shouldn't be done, or why would you.
    Cool.
I really wish we could get a straight up thread on just stock parts vs light weight aftermarket parts actuall weight comparison. These threads seem to get clogged with folks offering an opinion on the concept not advice.
    that said,
speedlogix just put a thread up about a trans crossmember that saves 5 pounds.
BWoody carbon hood is said to weigh 5 pounds less,
and i'd bet some hood pins and pulling all the hood release stuff out could help.
    one piece driveline
    monoblock wheels and better tires
I wish the steering column was manual and not full of electric motors for adjustment.
    t
reportedly theres bumper supports to modify or change for weight loss.
    Carbon fenders would be awesome.
    l
Bottom line is please go for it!

Try owning a Charger. I weighed mine the last time at the track. With lighter rear wheels & drag radials it was 4750 lbs. That's the 3/10's the challengers have on me here.

My charger was 4890 pounds with driver (200) and less than quarter tank.
These are not lightweight cars! Upgraded brake fluid and pads are pretty much required to play with these girls!
But,...once you learn to dance with a big girl...you may never go back!
All that being said (typed), it would be very difficult to pull over 200 pounds and keep her presentable for everyday driving.
The lightweight bumper supports save 20 pounds each reportedly. Haven't tried them (yet).

The trick is to lower the weight on the front end...The weight distribution is about 58% front and 42% rear so taking out stuff in the trunk will only shift the weight more to the front. Wheels, tires, DS will only save a few Lbs.

Swap the engine for the 3.6 V6 and you might be able to save some weight... LOL

Plain and simple, want to spend as little as possible = gut it, and deal with having a gutted car.
Then drive around with 1/4 tank or less gas (yup requires hitting the gas station often, but if saving weight is so important then this is a great way to save 60+ lbs compared to having a full tank, and you deal with the inconvenience).
