Back got tight yesterday golfing, stopped after 9 and felt mostly okay until doing my morning stretch routine this morning. Now it is locked up, and I am laying on an ice pack on my living room floor...and hope to be able to get back up to drive myself to the chiropractor in about 1.5 hours.

I feel your pain! (ruptured disc two different times)
25+mph winds yesterday kept me from hurting myself on the golf course

    Do take care

No spasms this time at least. And, good news, after icing, did the Mckenzie exercises and popped it back in. Up and walking, and even distribution of weight to both sides.

Taking it easy and keeping the appointment, but the pain is pretty well gone for the moment

Thanks, and yes, at least this time my wife is living at home instead of 2500 miles away on 18 month away from home assignment.! She is at work, but at least could come if necessary.

Good! I am relieved now because I was picturing you all stranded and having to call 911. Please do not wait too long to call your wife for some help if you cannot get up to drive yourself. Hang in there, and hopefully you will feel better very soon! Let us know how you are doing.

Already eased up. I am up and walking as I type. All good. Now is about caution and rest to heal up.

On a happy note, dealer shows I am still D1, but with rail arrival at final destination on 4/17!

Always be careful if you actually have a spasm because chiropractic treatments can make those worse. Nothing pisses off a muscle in spasm than stretching it quickly with an adjustment. Glad to hear you're feeling better though.

That isn't all that surprising for those of us crawling under our cars....

Look for "treat your own low back" by Robin Mckenzie, he is chiropractor from New Zealand.

My lower back goes out now and then... sometimes just stepping off a curb can do it...I find it helps to lay on the floor put a basketball under under the small of my back and kind of "lay" on it for a few minutes at a time. Usually it's almost a guaranteed couple hours of relief. I do it a few times a day for a few days until the pain goes away. Try it - you might be amazed:)
