    Sigh,

Guy damn near stopped in the left lane, on I-95 here in Maryland, to make an illegal left turn through a emergency cut. Car in front of me swerved into the grass and, because if wet road and the guy going from 65 to almost nothing fast, had to hit the breakdown lane. As I was passing him he turned left into my right side. This sent me into the grass as well but I was able (full pucker in effect) to navigate back to the asphalt, sliding the whole time.

Young lady that went through the grass and got stuck was shaken up and crying. Too scared to leave the car so I stayed with her while calling her mom and police. The other guy finally came over but I wasn't ready to talk to him. Politely cussed him out and put my attention back on the young lady.

State Troopers came and we all gave statements, along with a witness. Trooper agreed that the guy that stopped and turned was at fault and put that in the report. I was able to drive home without issue. The guy's insurance admitted fault and I have an appointment on Monday for an estimate.

    Sigh

Not built for off reading and dang lucky everyone made it out ok. Good for you helping the young lady and not beating the jackass that caused it 1/2 to death.

It could have been worse. Thankfully you were able to keep things under control. It can happen to anyone...anytime...anywhere. Glad no one was hurt.

Added a ruggedness to her. =)

Thank you. Since I was focused on the other drive, scared and shaking, I didn't have time for him and his excuses. I'm still upset that he didn't come over until minutes after everything happened and never asked if everyone was alright. I kept my distance only because my car wasn't totaled. If I were stuck down in the grass too, then yeah, I would have went after him.

Most likely when the guy hit me. Don't remember hitting anything while sledding. Lucky that there's no air leaking from it.

That sucks, but, the car is always replaceable, not so much for people. You were fortunate
