    The weather was really HOT in HOTLANTA and DA was close to 3000. Track temp was close to 114 (that's what announcer said - WTH do I know).

    I ran 11.21 (opposite another hellcat 11.37) and 11.22 on this hot day. I was running consistent 11.3x - 11.4x (on hot lapping) then I gave 1 hour cool down and ran 11.21 and 11.22.

    SOUND LIKE FUN;

    Car & Driver pg 73 July issue 2016 quote: "Fun fact: You can do 83 consecutive quarter-miles before the 707-hp Challenger Hellcat runs out of gas. This feat took us exactly two hours and seven minutes , which is a pass every minute and half."

    Interesting article.

    Keep up the fun.

    clickr......That's interesting. I wonder if that article, or any other published article stated how long one of these cars could run at Wide Open Throttle until it ran out of gas?

    According to this article, the Hellcat drinks 1.5 gpm at WOT. With a 18.5 gallon gas tank, we get just over 12 minutes of run time!

    This is exactly what I would agree with.
    While racing and wanting to keep the tank at a certain low level, after every run we added 1 gallon +

    Linda are you adding 93octane or race fuel? If race fuel what are you using? Oh and what level of fuel are you keeping?

    M.D. Thanks for the response. I seem to recall reading exactly what you posted but it was some time ago and I've slept since then;)

    I use 93 for Daily Driving.

    For Drag racing.
    Hell Yes, I use race fuel ..lol :D
    With the tuning and modding Race gas is needed to keep my car safe Q16
    No Blow ups out of HHP ;)
    Usually while racing we keep the tank half full. But if you want to go a little less. There must be a gas range number on the dash. If you run on "low" mileage range believe me it's a scary horrible feeling when the car doesn't get enough gas.
    Linda :)

    The best was 11.14 so far - Again, I'm new to this and think that the weather is not supporting either since my DA has never been less than 2700.
